Description
Reliably detect shaft movement and position without contact
The MX8030 Proximity Probe is a robust eddy current probe for non-contact measurement of shaft vibration, axial displacement, and speed on rotating machinery. Together with an extension cable and driver or transmitter, it forms an API 670-compliant measurement system and is specifically designed for applications with sleeve bearings.
With its robust mechanical design featuring a stainless steel housing, triaxial cable construction, and optional armor, the probe is suitable for use in demanding industrial environments. It withstands high temperatures, pressure loads, and aggressive media, ensuring reproducible measurement results even under difficult conditions.
The MX8030 provides a linear and repeatable signal over a measuring range of up to 2 mm, making it ideal for use on high-speed turbomachinery. Its standardized threads and designs facilitate easy integration into existing machine concepts and direct replacement with established systems.
Thanks to VibeLock™ connectors, installation is tool-free and offers high operational reliability – a crucial advantage, especially in hard-to-reach measurement points. In combination with Metrix transmitters or compatible systems, it creates a flexible and economical solution for condition monitoring without unnecessary complexity.
